Saint Dominic's Church
The church construction began on 1290. It was built following a simple plan in common with other bastides: a tall nave with three transepts, a tower and a defence system. During the 15th century, the church was partly reconstructed – a modern choir stall, the entrance porch… Gothic and renaissance styles are predominant.
Near the church, we find the Chapter House. This interesting example of medieval architecture probably served the Canons of Monpazier as a tithe house. Originally the building had four ribbed archways on the ground floor, the windows above are trilobed or arched, and there is a breteche suspended from carved stones.
